Returns Policy & Warranty 


Returns

We want you to be completely happy with your Hone products, if you are not you can arrange to return your purchase. Please arrange returns through our contact page. Please always reach out because we can always handle returns on a cases by case basis.

You may properly examine the goods for 14 days as you would had you visited a shop, however you may not return any goods that have signs of use unless they are faulty.  

If you wish to return an order we must receive goods within 30 days of cancellation, complete with the original packaging to us. The customer must cover the return shipping costs, in some instances Hone can create a return shipping label which you are able to use if you wish. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage.  We will refund all monies paid to us by you less possible deductions which will be clearly communicated:

  1. Original postage / carriage or other material shipping costs.

  2. Card or banking fees related to the sale and refund.

  3. Reductions for damage to the returned product.

Orders returned due to defective or damaged product will not have any deductions. The Returns address will be provided once a return has been initiated.

Shaving brushes: it is not possible to return a shaving brush head/knot that has been used. You can still return the brush handle, but the price of the knot will be deducted from any refund unless the knot is defective. Shedding:New brush knots will naturally shed a few hairs during their initial breaking in period, this is normal. Shedding is only considered a defective if the knot has been used for more than 2 weeks worth of shaves (14 shaves) and still persistently sheds.

Refund

All ordered and delivered goods must be included in your return and be in like-new (undamaged) condition to be eligible for a full refund. If, on return to Hone it is determined that the goods (i) are damaged, (ii) been subject to unauthorized modification, and/or (iii) are not in a resalable condition and/or are missing components, an amount equal to the estimated value loss, may at Hone B.V sole discretion be deducted from the amount of Customer’s refund.

Damage covered by the Limited Warranty (below) is not subject to such reduction in refunds, a full refund will be offered

 

Limited Warranty

Hone offers a standard 2 Year warranty. This ensures that product will be in full working order upon delivery and free from manufacturing and workmanship defects and will be of a quality which, within parameters of reasonable* use, is guaranteed for this period. If a manufacturing or workmanship defect occurs within this time, the product can be returned for repair/exchange.  Hone Products might at its discretion, offer a partial or full refund for defective Products (if for instance we no longer have an equivalent product to offer)

To make a warranty claim, the Customer must within a reasonable time from when the defect was discovered notify Hone by e-mail to contact@hone-shaving.com or on the contact page (www.hone-shaving.com/contact) providing a description of the defect.

(Obviously we hope you get much longer use from your Hone product that this, and if you have a problem outside this period please get in touch anyway and we will try to help where we can.)

Reasonable use* does not include behaviour that would directly or indirectly cause damage and is outside the guidelines in the Instructions supplied with your Hone product: Damage from chemical exposure (certain bathroom cleaners for instance) drops, over tightening, modification, maltreated or used in a manner not compatible with the instructions or reasonable normal care, are not covered.

The materials used in certain Hone product are intended to alter over time. Part of this process is oxidation which can be influenced by environmental conditions and personal habits. Because of this your Hone razor will not always look the same; this is natural property of the material and highlighted on the product page. As such this aspect is not directly covered in the warranty.  If you feel your Hone razor is altering at an excessive rate please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
